In Matthew we see an emphasis in the recording of the Sermon on the Mount - an emphasis on the contrast by Jesus revealing the difference between the Kingdom of Heaven and the kingdoms of Earth.
How do WE - who are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven through Christ - live in this world of men's kingdoms? What are the character traits of a citizen of Heaven? The BeAttitudes are a description / explanation of those character traits. May we step up and make these the traits we express in life.
