In 2005 Sisco Heights added the Husen family to our missions support.
We - Rodney, Coral, Jenna & Tyler - are third generation missionaries to the nation of Brazil. Our "sending" church is Bethel Christian Church in San Francisco, which also sent out both my grandparents and parents to Brazil as well. Our work on the field involves overseeing as head pastors a field of churches with approximately 40 pastors, and planting new churches where there is no Gospel present. In addition to conducting pastors seminars, for the purpose of nurturing and further enhancing the ministries of the pastors on the field, on December of 2004 we started a Bible School to train leadership for the ministry. Rodney is writing curriculum and administrating the Bible School which currently has 40 students enrolled. In addition we are proclaiming the message of Jesus to the spiritually lost, through the preaching of the Word of God, as well as through evangelistic services. In the last two years, we have seen over 1700 new conversions to Jesus Christ. We are also overseeing a children's ministry and day school which reaches into the shanty towns surrounding the city of Sao Vicente on the coast of Brazil. We also conduct children's crusades with the cooperation of short term teams from the US. Our ministry also involves reaching out to poor and suffering people with the compassion of Jesus Christ, by providing food, blankets, clothing, and inviting them to become His followers.
Ron and Kathy Green
Regional Missions
Ron and Kathy Green have been attending SHCC for many years. In 2005 the church decided to not only support them in our prayers, but also financially. They are a blessing to the Pastors and the congregation.
