Vision Pt4 - Gifts are for Today

1 Corinthians 14:1 tells us to eagerly desire spiritual gifts - gifts given by the Holy Spirit as a fulfillment of the "promise of the Father" Jesus told the apostles about. He sent them from His resurrection to the upper room to wait on the baptism of fire - of the Holy Ghost. Through Acts and the Letters to the churches God reiterates His desire to infuse His people with power and gifts to express the miraculous nature of His Spirit in us. This has never changed. We need the gifts of the Holy Spirit today as never before and God is still in the baptizing with fire business in building His Kingdom.
